Amber Nicole Dilger provides music lessons using video conference technology and in person. Students of all ages are welcome and as such, Amber Nicole Dilger is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”). Therefore, there are special precautions taken when collecting personal information from children under the age of 13.
COPPA requires Amber Nicole Dilger inform parents and legal guardians about how personal information from children under the age of 13 years of age is collected, used, and disclosed. Furthermore, COPPA requires Amber Nicole Dilger gain consent from parents and/or legal guardians in order for children under the age of 13 years of age to use certain features of this website.

The only personal information that is collected during the registration process is what is specifically requested, including the student’s name, email address, birth month and day, and the parent’s contact information.
Lessons with Amber Nicole Dilger require registering a user’s age prior to registration. If the user is under the age of 13, he or she is prompted to provide a parent or guardian’s contact information so that Amber Nicole Dilger can communicate with the parent or guardian regarding the account.
Amber Nicole Dilger does not share user information with third parties, unless stated otherwise or under special circumstances.
How is the information collected used?
Amber Nicole Dilger uses the information collected during the registration process to communicate with users and provide services- the information collected is never sold to unaffiliated third parties.
By using Amber Nicole Dilger's lesson services, you may be granting access to personal information to third parties including Google, Zoom, and SuperSaas. Lessons with Amber Nicole Dilger may use the Zoom service to provide class services, therefore you may be granting Zoom additional rights to the live content that is streamed during the lesson. Google Drive is used to share lesson notes and related materials. SuperSaas is an online scheduling platform used to apply for and register for lessons. By purchasing and allowing your child to participate in lessons, you are consenting to potential third-party information exchange. Use of third party services is governed by their own Terms and Privacy Policy.
How does Amber Nicole Dilger notify and obtain consent from parents regarding their children’s information?
If your child under the age of 13 years attempts to register with the Amber Nicole Dilger website, he or she will be prompted to provide his/her parent or guardian’s contact information. Amber Nicole Dilger will then contact the parent or guardian to obtain consent. Additionally, by purchasing classes for your child under the age or 13, parents and guardians are consenting to the collection of their child’s information.
What access and rights do parents have?
Parents and guardians have the right to review the information that has been collected from their child. Parents and guardians additionally have the right to withdraw consent of the use or collection of personal information from their child and may request their child’s information be deleted from Amber Nicole Dilger's lesson system.
