Earn Points for V.I.P. Priority Scheduling
While some studios focus only on accepting the most "talented" students, I believe in how far a student can go with dedication and potential. I know that with commitment and consistency, everyone can experience tremendous growth in their singing and performance journey.
How to Earn Points
Throughout the year, you can earn points by engaging in studio activities and demonstrating commitment to your goals. This includes:
•Performance Opportunities
(Check the Studio Handbook and studio emails for updates.)
•Online Studio Courses
(Including the Practice Prep Course)
•RCM Exams and NCMTA Spring Voice Festival
•May Studio Recital and National Anthem Volunteer Singing
•Consistent Home Practice and Weekly Assignment Completion
Even if you’re not yet ready for larger performances, there’s always something meaningful to work toward. And remember: the thing I will look to more than anything else is how your home practicing is going, because that's where the real progress is made.
What This Means for You
In the spring, when we begin scheduling for the following school year, students who have demonstrated the most consistent dedication will receive the very first invitations to schedule lesson times. So, be sure to keep in mind the importance of:
•Attending studio events
•Completing Songflight Studio courses
•Practicing consistently at home, following our lesson plan
I’ll be tracking these efforts throughout the year with you—not to add pressure, but to recognize and reward your growth.
To help with this, I upload a Studio Participation spreadsheet in everyone’s shared Google Drive folder.
At each lesson, we track your home practice progress and uploaded practice video(s), and both students and parents will be able to easily check in and see how things are going.
